How many artists are in residence each month?
We can have two or four artists at the time, depending on availability.
What should I bring?
You can bring what you need for work, but we also have some materials and tools that you can use. We also have enlarger for developing black and white photography, if you want to use it, you will need to buy just new chemicals and paper.
What is expected of me while I’m at the residency?
It depends on the artist and the project. If you want you can make small talk and present your work or make an exhibition, during or at the end of your stay, but you don’t have to, it is not obligatory. You can focus on your work or spend time exploring the city and making new contacts with relevant professionals as art historians, curators, local artists, galleries in order to facilitate possible collaboration.

Will someone pick me up at the airport/ train station?
We can meet you in the center when you arrive and take you to the apartment or we can wait for you in the apartment.
From the airport you can take a taxi to center (around 2000 dinars less than 20 euros), You can check at official taxi info at the airport.
It is easy to come with a public bus, the bus ride takes 40 minutes depending on traffic.
You can take bus 72 from the airport (upstairs in front) to Zeleni Venac (last stop), there you will see Mc Donald’s (they have free wifi in front). We can meet here at agreed time.
From the train station, alternatively, we can meet you there or wait for you at the apartment.
At the newspaper stand, you can get “Bus plus card”, the ticket for buses. It is a plastic card with a magnetic stripe, you add money for rides to it when you buy it. One ride is around 90 dinars so you can choose how many rides you want to add. You can use it when you get into a bus by pressing it against the machine when entering the bus. The machine has Serbian and English language to choose. When you press the card, it will subtract one ride and show you how much more money you have left.
You can download app maps.me, that is only one that will show building numbers, and has both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet. Most of the street names are in the cyrilic alphabet so you can compare names. Also, google maps doesn’t show street numbers correctly, so it can confuse you, and maps.me app shows street numbers.
